Questions behavior analysts ask

Will these CEUs count toward my recertification?

Yes. ABT is a BACB ACE provider, and your certificate carries our ACE number and your BACB certification number.

How many CEUs do I need?

32 every two-year cycle, including 4 ethics CEUs and, if you supervise, 3 supervision CEUs (rising to 4 in 2027). Full requirements.

Can I stop mid-course and come back?

Yes. Courses are self-paced and your place is saved, so picking back up takes one click.

What happens if I’m audited?

Your certificates stay in your account, so you can re-download them whenever the BACB asks. Keep your CE records for three years. More on certificates and audits.

Do RBTs need CEUs now?

Yes. As of 2026 the annual competency assessment is gone, and RBTs renew every two years with 12 hours of professional development. The new RBT rules.

Are any courses free?

Yes: free CEUs that count toward your cycle, with the same certificate.
